Launch!

I am happy to report that we released our beta software and web site at 1 pm eastern time today. It's an exciting time for us and a deeply satifying feeling. Now our software is out there and we'll start getting feedback from users. I have to give kudos to my partners on the tech side. They put together a great software app and service in a very short period of time. It's been a privilege working with them. Many thanks to Peter who played a critical role in development and Irene who helped with last minute QA. And there are far too many people to mention individually who gave us invaluable feedback, counsel, and advice during our development stage. I'm going to take a couple days off for Christmas. Happy holidays!

Getting close...

We're on Build 45 of the Blog Writer and we've deemed it ready for release! We were hoping that we could ship Build 42 but we had a few small fixes and text changes. All remaining issues will go into the release notes on our web site. Now we only have some final QA remaining on the service and we'll be all set to do our soft launch - hopefully tomorrow morning.

Beta launch plan

After thinking things through, we've decided to scale back a bit and do a rolling launch of our beta program. We'll start with our friends and family and then expand the number of accounts at our service. We want to work out all the bugs with a friendly audience first and then we'll do a hard launch in January for the general public. If you want to request an invitation to our beta, go to our placeholder web site, www.zoundry.com. We'll put you in the queue for our friends and family soft launch (coming soon.)

Welcome to the Zoundry Blog!

Well, it's been a crazy last few weeks (and months) but we're getting to the final stage before launching the beta of Zoundry. The web site is pretty much done, we're fixing a few issues in the Blog Writer, and we are doing QA on the service. In the middle of all our craziness, we decided it was time to start the Zoundry Blog. We believe in the blog platform and want to encourage more people to start blogs. So we figured we should set an example and start a blog ourselves. I will try to post regularly to give you an inside view into Zoundry, sharing as many of our discussions and decisions, achievements and setbacks as possible. It should be an interesting ride - with a few affiliate links to related books and other products thrown in occasionally using our Blog Writer. In the full spirit of blogging, I invite you to add your comments in our blog or you can send messages to our general inbox: contactatzoundrydotcom.
